kWh do not lie

Critics and ‘nay-sayers’ can be difficult to exclude. This is the unfortunate reality in all industries. LED technology could in many ways sound to good to be true. Is it really possible that these light sources last up to 7 times longer than traditional light sources, in some projects they give over 70% savings on the bottom line, while at the same time reducing the energy consumption significantly? To all skeptics, we can only say: KWH do not lie!

Can you count on the savings, your supplier guarantees when replacing the light with LED?

It’s easy to promise somebody the moon, but is there so much to gain on the other side of the LED rainbow as promised? First and foremost, it is important that you explore the market before selecting a supplier. The cheapest solution usually result in being the most expensive in the long run.

For CO2LIGHT, documentation and technical knowledge are vital components. Documentation in the form of expertise and professional advice, a credible Dialux- and Financial overview, and a wide range of quality products that do not break down and deliver. However, it is easy for us to pat ourselves on the shoulder and assert that everything is just fine and dandy. To validate and create authenticity is to emphasize the opinions of the customers, and preferably from customers, who have had an LED solution over a longer period of time. In that way, we can show a truthful picture and thereby document that the savings actually last!

Sustainable lighting – has come to stay

Below we mention three different types of customers. Common to all is that they have many light sources, many burning hours, special designed products, and installations that now are over 2 years old. We are talking about a car dealer, a swimming bath and a sports hall, which geographically are spread across the map.

Rævhede Auto A/S at Aabybro was energy optimized in the summer of 2015, and their savings on electricity consumption are still intact:

– The light is more natural and clear. The white cars seems white again, now you can really see the colors and the details are highlighted. We got twice as much light as before, but despite of that, we have reduced the electricity bill with almost 50 %, which still are durable over two years later.”

Ulstruphallerne also underwent a massive facelift with their lighting in 2015, where all three halls was LED-optimized. Despite of more guests and significantly more hours in rental of the facilities (over 300 hours more than in 2015), the savings still remain:

– We have gone from about 115.000 kWh in 2015 to 103.000 kWh last year. 2017 was the year in which we have had the greatest rental of our facilities ever, which says a lot. The increasing activity in the cafeteria with confirmations, events and Christmas parties must also be included in the total electricity consumption. It’s difficult for me giving you an exact amount in currency, but I can only say, that we save a lot of money on our light.”

FrederiksborgCentret (Hillerød Swimming Pool) started working with us in about 2013, where we slowly bacan replacing the light sources throughout the center. Today, all lighting in both the center and especially the swimming bath have been replaced with energy-saving LED and there have been a continuous reduction of power consumption ever since. Despite of more gueast and changing the opening hours, the savings are still stable.

– It can be difficult to get a precise figure of our total savings in kroner/øre, because we do not have a total energy meter, but the kilowatt hours do not lie and we have reduced our electricity consumption by about 2/3 compared to earlier.”
